Week 01
In the planning stage of the Eastside project, our team was provided research materials from Chad Newsom PhD. Due to the limited sources of photo reference of the original theatre, the restoration concepts were developed based on other Weis family theaters in Savannah and descriptions provided in historical texts.
The preliminary concept sketch was determined off materials we gathered to study the building and the Weis architect building style in the late 1940s.
To start modeling the Box Office and doors, I revisited the location to take measurements of the floor and ceiling height to model in real world dimensions.
I started the initial rough model of the Box Office and early color layout.
